# Section overview

This section covers managing your account: how you sign in, notifications, API keys, and audit-log access. Most of these settings are for creditors. Debtors have a simpler experience inside the portal.

## In this section

* [Changing your password](/account-and-settings/changing-your-password.md) — creditors reset from the dashboard sign-in screen; debtors use one-time codes and have no password.
* [Managing notifications](/account-and-settings/managing-notifications.md) — per-event email mode (realtime / digest / off) for creditors.
* [API keys](/account-and-settings/api-keys.md) — for programmatic access (creditors only).
* [Audit log access](/account-and-settings/audit-log-access.md) — your trail of what happened, currently scoped per placement.

## Who this section is for

Primarily **creditors** managing their dashboard accounts. A few pages — especially audit log access — also touch on what debtors can see in the portal, in which case the debtor view is called out.

## What's not in here

* Strategy settings — see [Configuring your strategy](/for-creditor-partners/creditor-onboarding/configuring-your-strategy.md).
* Accounting integrations — see [Connecting your accounting software](/for-creditor-partners/creditor-onboarding/connecting-your-accounting.md).
* Billing and remittance — see [Creditor Finance](/for-creditor-partners/creditor-finance.md).
* Team members — see [Inviting team members](/for-creditor-partners/creditor-onboarding/inviting-team-members.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.moderncollections.io/account-and-settings/account-and-settings.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
